SimonMed Imaging Introduces Ultrasound+ to Improve Cancer Detection
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., October 28, 2025: SimonMed Imaging has launched Ultrasound+, a new AI-assisted ultrasound program designed to enhance breast and thyroid cancer detection. The system uses FDA-cleared Koios DS software to analyze ultrasound images in real time, acting as a second read for radiologists.
The technology studies millions of data points to identify subtle patterns linked to early cancer signs that may not be visible to the human eye. It’s now available across all SimonMed locations offering ultrasound exams.
“By integrating Ultrasound+ nationwide, every patient benefits from more accurate and consistent imaging,” said Dr. John Simon, CEO and Founder of SimonMed Imaging. “This helps us detect cancers earlier, reduce unnecessary procedures, and improve outcomes for our patients.”
How Patients Benefit
Earlier detection: AI helps spot potential cancers sooner.
Fewer unnecessary tests: Reduces false positives and biopsies.
More confidence: Delivers accurate, consistent results.
“Ultrasound+ builds on the success of our Mammogram+ program and strengthens our focus on women’s health,” added Dr. Sean Raj, Chief Medical Officer and Chief Innovation Officer at SimonMed.
